As you all know, I love books. Always have, always will. And if I stop, check my temperature and lock me in a library.
3 Books to Look Forward to in October
I’m excited about a bunch of books that will be releasing in the next few months (not counting Teal Paisley Tights), but I wanted to highlight three in October. While some people keep an eye out for movie release dates, I tend to watch my favorite authors and wait (impatiently) for their upcoming book release.
Lady of a Thousand Treasures by Sandra Byrd
Miss Eleanor Sheffield is a talented evaluator of antiquities, trained to know the difference between a genuine artifact and a fraud. But with her father’s passing and her uncle’s decline into dementia, the family business is at risk. In the Victorian era, unmarried Eleanor cannot run Sheffield Brothers alone.
Cordially Barbara: I remember the first time I read a Sandra Byrd book. Ever since then, I’ve kept my eye out for each of her new releases. I enjoy the history and character development. And this book blurb already has my attention!

Forgetting My Way Back to You by Karina Bartow
At one point or another, everybody finds themselves wanting a second chance, whether it be missing the mark on an investment, failing to live up to a certain goal, or letting a true love slip away. It’s very seldom, however, that one receives the proverbial do-over.
Cordially Barbara: I’m excited for this one because I met Karina Bartow through the publishing house that’s releasing Teal Paisley Tights. It’s been fun having someone to follow closely behind. 🙂

When You Look At Me by Pepper Basham
An unexpected mother-to-be
A romance-leery composer
And a forgotten melody from the past that holds the keys to their futures
Cordially Barbara: Oh, man. I love Pepper Basham and her closet kisses. But, for all the fluff and love, she digs into tough heart problems, and I love her stories even more for that. I can hardly wait for this one!

All that to say, I’m going to be busy reading in October. I am so pumped to see what these authors have come up with for the story world. Also, apparently, I need to read more books by male authors. I’m always open to recommendations!
