Let’s spread kindness like glitter and flourish inspiration with laughter! I’m not sure about you, but in my moments outside, I’ve seen magic in the making: green buds on tree branches and giant blooms stretching to the sky. Daffodils bob their bright yellow heads to songs that the wind carry, that only they can hear.
And life, though different, doesn’t feel half as bad.
Even on the grayest of days, these colors sparkle neon green, white, and pink. Hope may feel so far away, but I think your every breath hides one small particle of tiniest of hopes. Hold on, friend. Your grief is real and so is your fear, but each of those can exist side by side with hope and laughter. Even a mud puddle glints with a bit of sparkle.
So blink and look again to find what newness awaits you in this time.
What I’m Being Inspired By
Current Jam:
What an anthem! Demi Lovato does it again with these killer lyrics and bomb music video. Who doesn’t love when a favorite artist drops amazing music? If you need something to dance to, I think this is a solid contender.
Current Food:
This homemade white almond cake with fancy frosting and decoration was cooked up by a good friend of mine, and it was just the thing to curb (or jumpstart?) my cake craving! These 4″ cakes were delightful, and the first one was consumed in a park with two forks and dusk descending. Yes, sugar magic. And those toasted almonds tho!
Current Read:
This was a reading recommendation for me, and I found it to be an intriguing story of family. Family dynamics ARE SO fascinating to me. We learn so much from our families, the good and the bad. Here’s my full review of The House of Broken Angels.
Current Obsession:
Long walks. I’ve become obsessed with finding new paths to walk while I have all this time to explore. The chilly and sometimes warm weather definitely influences the length of my walks with the Fiona, my sleek companion. On our most recent adventure, I came across this sink, and it was such a curious sight that I had to snap a photo. What’s its story anyway???
Current Quote:
I’m all about feeling the grief of this season as we mourn what normal used to be. But also, we only have now, so it’s important to choose where our thoughts dwell. So yes, indulge the sadness, but then, seek something that makes you smile again.
