I love putting together these inspiration posts every month. I mean, it’s a bit startling every time to realize another month has passed, but I just like sharing good music, books, and other random obsessions with you. When I used to only be a blog reader, I always loved #inspiration posts the most. So I hope you enjoy August 2017 Inspiration post!
What I’m Being Inspired By
I love a new month because a new month means another new beginning. I’m in need of new beginnings. Constantly. And I’m always into all the reading (a fresh month means more books). If you want to know what I’m instantly into book-wise, follow me on Instagram: @CordiallyBarbara.
Current Jam:
I’m the kind of girl who gets stuck on a song (my sister hates this about me), but I get stuck and stay stuck for almost a month. I just can’t stop. And to me, “True Feeling” has been my everyday song. I must listen to it between 5-10 times a day.
Current Food:
I’ve always been obsessed with ice cream, and recently I heard that Page Dairy Mart on East Carson Road in Pittsburgh was The Best. Never one to be left out when it comes to ice cream, I sweet talked my way into a quick stop at this ice cream shop. I’m still swooning over my raspberry almond cake sundae. They toasted the cake and that tipped me right over the edge.

Current Read:
I’m still churning over the amazing characters in A Name Unknown by Roseanna M. White. Honestly, I just can’t get over them so I wrote this book recommendation post all about A Name Unknown. If you’re looking for a pre-WWI book, then I think you should pick this one up!
Current Obsession:
I come from a family of artists and scientists. I really don’t understand how we can have such an eclectic mix of people even within my own family, but I love ’em. Anyway, I’ve always had a knack for drawing, but it’s only been recently where I’ve decided I just love creating fun designs on my face. This mess was a result of the creativity!
Current Quote:
I don’t remember a time that I didn’t love reading. I do remember a time when I couldn’t read on my own, and I just loved stretching out beside my mother as she read books to me. Age has only intensified my love for reading, and I’ve also bumped into the enjoyment of writing, too. People ask why I like to write, and it’s the above quote that rings true for me.
