Cozying up under a thick blanket with a cup of tea and wonderful book is undeniably one of my favorite things about the Christmas holidays. And the best thing is that Christmas reading has become so much easier, whether it’s a quick Amazon download or a library borrow.
Unlimited Christmas reading options.
Last year was my very first Christmas away from home. It was weird. But, that’s when I discovered Christmas novellas. If I couldn’t be with my family, I could be with an imaginary family.
Life changed. No, but really.
[Okay, before we get to the good stuff *cough cough* the books, I wanted to let you know that I’ll be using affiliate links, which means I get a tiny kickback if you choose to purchase through my link. And no, it doesn’t raise the price you pay.]
7 Christmas Reads For You
Okay, so here’s another disclaimer. I haven’t read ALL of these novellas and Christmas books because some of them haven’t been released yet. OR, I just haven’t gotten to them yet, but I will soon! Follow my Instagram account for the reviews: @cordiallybarbara.
Christmas Traditions: An 8 Author Multi Christmas Novella series
Okay, so I bumped into Carrie Fancett Pagels at a Facebook party (where I won her book), and she told me to read her Christmas novella. Her’s is entitled The Fruitcake Challenge. Oh, I looooooooved it. It had me chuckling and wondering whether or not I’ve had fruitcake or not. The cast of characters were rough and tumble yet sweet. I’ve also just finished reading the Nutcracker Christmas (which made me yearn to watch another ballet), and I’m primed and ready to start Eleven Pipers Piping!
The best part is that it’s only 99 cents for ereaders!
Miss Kane’s Christmas: A Christmas Central Romantic Comedy Novella
I’m subscribed to Bookbub so that’s how I came across this adorable Christmas novella. Santa Claus must not like me much because I’m not really a huge fan of the big guy, but I am a huge fan of this book. Miss Kane’s Christmas was full of childish delight and imaginative surprises. I think I giggled out loud a couple of times.

One Enchanted Christmas by Melissa Tag
Okay, you MUST read this one if you haven’t already. This one I read last year while living in Europe and being away from my family for Christmas. I just loved it so much. When author Maren needs some inspiration, she decides to make good on a year-old invitation to visit the family farm of the attractive man who modeled for her first book’s cover.

But it gets better because Melissa Tagg has written One Enchanted Eve (book 2) for this year! So if you love One Enchanted Christmas, then you can keep up with these devastating brothers.
A Bramble House Christmas by CJ Carmichael
Finn is out to figure out why his deceased father left $50,000 to his nurse, Willa, who he knew for less than 6 weeks. And what he discovers is not what he expected at all.
Goodness, I enjoyed this book. And it even had a thread of mystery that I didn’t see coming, but a downside for me was that there was a brief bedroom scene. I enjoyed the characters and the second chances they seemed to be getting in this Christmas book.

O’Christmas Town: 7 Christmas Novellas
Once again, I rushed right over to read The Substitute Bride by Carrie Fancett Pagels. Two people who are in uncomfortable situations and want to escape as soon as they can…find each other in the mess. I’d say you should delve into this Christmas collection just to read this cute novella. But I’m pretty excited to read the others as well.

Christmas Blessings: Seven Inspirational Romances of Faith, Hope, and Love
Okay, so this is what I’m wondering, why is it that lots of Christmas stories are about romance? Okay, I said it. Let’s move on.
I bought this collection of Christmas novellas because I saw Melissa Tagg’s name. I’ve only been impressed with her writing and storytelling. But I have yet to read this collection…however, I wanted you to know this option was available to you!

Wrapped in Red: A Three Rivers Romance Novella by Meghan M. Gorecki
So I haven’t read this novella yet. But it’s has three selling points for me: location (Pittsburgh), season (Christmas), and author (she’s my real life writer friend). But, it’s about two people who’ve dealt with loss and have impressive shields, will they allow someone in?
