When I was fourteen, my family traveled to the United Kingdom. We ate fish and chips. We explored castles. We stared at Big Ben. And I got my picture taken, sitting between the paws of a lion in Trafalgar Square.
It was a wonderful experience, but if I went back, I’d make it all about the writers who were born and bred Londoners. Or perhaps, I’d just visit every famous author’s grave site or home.

And I’d hit each of these locations mentioned by Buzzfeed in its 12 Literary Spots in London That Every Book Lover Needs To Visit. It would be like a treasure hunt of sorts!
If you’re not so keen on striking out on your own walking tour, you can find someone else to give you a guided walking tour through London.
Are you particularly a lover of Dickens? You can see London through his eyes! At least that’s what they tell you at the Charles Dickins London Tours and Walks.
But mostly, I would want to visit this pub. Anyone know why?

If you said, that’s where the Inklings met. You’re right. As a reader of Tolkien and C. S. Lewis, I would love to just sit for a couple of hours at this pub and hope to soak up their brilliance. Too bad, osmosis doesn’t work for human beings!
