June = summer
The smell of sunscreen. The view through sunglasses. Bare feet. Can we just sigh into the beauty that is summer?
Picnics. Watermelon dripping down chin. Reading in the park.

Current Jam:
Am I the only one who has always wanted to do a dance off? But I do just like the sound of this song.
Current Food:
Grill everything. Have you tried grilled peaches? Pineapples? Avocado? What about grilled pizzas? Nothing is quite as good as that grilled flavor.
Summer Must-Read:
Do you have a soft spot for cotton-candy-good stories with a dose of another culture? Then you must read Hello, I Love You. This book had me trying out K-Pop music and adding Korea onto my list of places to visit. This story is perfect for your summer vacation.

Oh, and by the way, this author is basically my friend. Okay…so she’s a friend of a friend, but I love the connection anyway!
Current Read:
I’m inching my way through this classic, but I must admit that I’m enjoying each chapter. William Zinsser simply writes well. His commentary on the way that politicians speak (and now the rest of the American population) keeps a grin on my face. If you want to clean up your writing, grab this classic at your local library or Amazon.
Current Obsession:
Over the last year, I’ve accidentally become fit. How’s that an accident? Believe me. I’d rather be curled up reading a book, but one thing led to another and bam…suddenly I was fitness obsessed.
I’m constantly asking myself, “Why do you want to be strong?”

It’s a great question to be asking when you’ve decided that you can’t budget in the gym or lessons so you’re on your own for working out again.
I want to be strong and capable so that I can climb a rock wall or do a handstand. Muscles are beautiful, but I want mine to be useful.
Why do you want to be strong?
Current Quote:
The truth is that we need this reminder sometimes. I love scrolling through other people’s pictures, but there are days that freedom feels like switching my phone off or leaving it behind.
