Life is some kind of harrowing and hauntingly beautiful experience. And still, summer comes. Sunshine-y days and sunscreened moments.
I feel like some of the best moments of summer days gone past are the unexpected ones, like the day I parked my car in a park, climbed onto its roof, and blew bubbles for an hour. And another day where a few of us ran around with sparklers, giggling, laughing, and tracing images into the night air to fade away.
Life is brutiful. Create magical moments for yourself when you can.
What I’m Being Inspired By
Current Jam:
Finding new music is one of my most favorite things, but it can be such a challenge to do so sometimes. I used to be an environment where people shared music constantly, but these days, I rely on YouTube or Spotify to alert me to music that seems similar to my favorite music taste. This one was a surprise suggestion via the release radar.
Current Food:
I know, I know that I already wrote about Bae Bae’s Kitchen. BUT LISTEN. It was THIS good. And I can hardly wait to have it again because it was so freaking delicious. If you live in Pittsburgh, get yourself some now.
Current Read:
A lot of my To Be Read list comes from listening to Brene Brown on her Unlocking Us podcast. Her hour-plus conversation with thinkers, learners, researchers provide such interesting perspective on so many topics. Most of her guests have books, and then, I just buy, buy, buy.
Emotional Agility is the book that I didn’t know I needed. I’ve always been told I was just too empathetic or soft-hearted, and the idea of having emotional boundaries is almost a new idea to me. This book has been so helpful, and it’s an easy read too!

Current Obsession:
Apple pie and plain cheesecake have a baby, and it’s this phenomenal apple pie cheesecake of deliciousness. I’m still obsessed. I should try to make it myself one day.
