Poetry: Date Me Already

 

 

As a general rule of thumb, I don’t like poetry.

I refuse to write it unless some professor decides to assign it, and then my desire for good grades kicks in. This was written back in 2012 when it seemed that everyone was dating and cuteness abounded. I was the sourpuss writer sitting in the corner rolling my eyes at the absurdity, but secretly kind of wishing someone might want to date me.

I unearthed this poem to share with you all in hopes you might think it’s sweet or something.
