What’s up, Hot Sauce!
Wouldn’t you know that last week, I was eating a mac ‘n cheese, spinach, egg, hot sauce salad, and a spinach leaf reached up and slapped me in the eyeball with hot sauce… 0/10 recommend.
While my eating habits may be questionable to you, that spinach leaf did grab my attention. So, do you love a spicy/steamy romance or a sweet one?
Romances I’m Excited about:
✔️ Sweet and slow-burn (almost not) romance: Heirlooms by Sandra Byrd* is a split-time novel, featuring a set of grandmothers and their granddaughters. I love it because of its incorporation of Korean culture.
✔️ Sweet, chaotic, artistic romance: Teal Paisley Tights* by yours truly is a 20-something, coming-of-age romance where Jadyn is trying to figure out if she can live her dreams and pay the bills.
✔️ Sweet and slightly warm feelings romance: If the Shoe Fits by Julie Murphy* offers a Cinderella retelling with a curvy character front and center who keeps her dreams as her focus even as she falls in love with The Bachelor.
✔️ Spicy yet sweet LGBT romance: Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston*is an opposites-attract trope with two incredibly strong, gay men, and it was all sorts of fabulous.
✔️ Spicy, Neurodivergent romance: The Brown Sisters by Talia Hibberts* is in the vein of Penny Reid (so if you love her, you’ll likely love this series). I just LOVED the Brown sisters series.
If you have a romance novel that you just LOVED recently, send me the title name so I can gush with you or add it to my own TBR pile! If you rave enough, I might have to expedite it to the top of my pile.
